INAPAL Lda was founded in 1973 to produce components for the Automotive Industry, for bumpers in particular.

With the installation of the Renault Project in Portugal in the early ’80s, the company converted its production lines, providing its unit stamping capacity and technology for the manufacture of Valve Covers to the factory in Cacia. At the same time, INAPAL invests in a new technological area, for the manufacture of bumpers and side shields in composite materials. Subsequently, the company is based on a group concept, separating its activities (metal and plastics) into legally independent companies, which originated the creation of INAPAL Metal SA and INAPAL Plásticos SA.
